The next-generation Nova brings even more comfort, convenience, and thoughtful design to the classic step-through city ebike platform. Every Nova now ships with a second set of handlebars, giving riders the choice between an upright style — perfect for older riders or those with restricted mobility — and a forward-leaning style for a more traditional cycling posture. This flexibility makes the Nova adaptable to a wide range of riders and preferences.

We’ve also upgraded to durable metal fenders, with the rear fender conveniently pre-installed, and included a custom-designed cell phone holder that integrates seamlessly with the bike — no more shopping around for aftermarket add-ons. With SHOK, we aim to provide as much as possible, right out of the box.

Although the Nova is priced as an entry-level step-through, it comes equipped with advanced features and refined design details that experienced cyclists recognize and appreciate. From its 48V 500W brushless motor and lightweight all-aluminum low step-through frame, to its Shimano 7-speed set, Zoom suspension, and carefully tuned power-to-weight balance, the Nova consistently outperforms expectations. Designed with real-world riders in mind, the Nova comes stock with a battery size that already covers the daily needs of most customers — but for those who want extra distance, a larger capacity upgrade is available. And while higher-end SHOK models use hydraulic brakes, the Nova’s mechanical disc brakes were chosen for their simplicity, ease of adjustment, and low-cost replacement parts. This keeps the Nova affordable, practical, and easy to maintain — exactly what riders expect from an accessible step-through city ebike.
